Pastel yellow evening primrose has burgundy accents on the stems and buds that contrast nicely with the dawn and dusk opening flowers. Know this plant supports many moths and even bats as both are attracted to flowers that bloom at night. The seeds are easy to germinate indoors, then transplanted later or toss seeds out onto a weeded space that is kept moist until the plant shows a rosette formed at ground level. This is the shape for it’s first of two year’s development. Being a biennial, it will be in the second year that stems shoot up and flowers emerge.
